Pastor Kwang
Kyung Ae Joo (Pastor Jacob's mom)
Leonard and his family (wife and 3 kids)
Gita and her daughter
Cheol Joon Baek (photographer/journalist)
This is the first mission trip to Guyana, hoping that it is just the beginning of many to come.
The main ministry will be to hold rally type services ministering to Hindus and Muslims. This will take place predominantly in villages, indoor and outdoor. The schedule is a busy one as the team will be travelling to the west coast, east coast and south of Guyana. They will also have the opportunity to minister to the homeless in Georgetown (squader's community) cooking and distributing meals.
Guyana is a dangerous country, both physically and spiritually. Crime is abundant. The murder rate in Guyana is three times higher than the murder rate in the United States. Armed robberies are increasing, especially in major business and shopping districts. Travelers are asked to use caution while walking the streets.
Prayer Requests:
- God's blessing, anointing and protection
- people's hearts to be open and receptive
- power ministry especially against opposition
- spiritual insight to see how we may minister to this nation in the future
